I have noticed that grace flows best in a person’s leadership when they stop seeing their weaknesses as limitations. Instead, they start seeing their weaknesses as opportunities to depend on the Lord for His supply.
In our leadership journeys, there will be times we take on roles that seem to demand more from us than what we have to offer. My friend, if God has called you to it, His grace will carry you through it. In 2 Corinthians 12:9, He says,
“My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.”
This means that the very areas you feel weak or inadequate in are the areas in which the Lord’s strength and supply can flow. So you don’t have to feel limited by your lack or overwhelmed by the need to make up for it. You can depend on Jesus.
If you feel like you’re not smart enough, you can ask Him for divine wisdom and insight to make great decisions for your ministry or team. If you feel like you’re not skilled enough, you can ask Him to impart to you the skills you need and teach you how to cultivate them.
When you bring your “not enough”s to Jesus, you’ll find that He’s more than enough! And when you see the supernatural results that only His grace can bring, you’ll know without a doubt that all the glory goes to Him!
